An awkward game at best. The refs screwed me out of a potential $250 in the 1st quartern with the phantom interference call, they screwed the Seahawks out of 4 points with Ben's "touchdown" and they screwed them out of another 7 points with the phantom holding call. Jeremy Stevens should go into hiding after all of his drops and Darrell Jackson may want to paint an out of bounds line in his bedroom so he can get used to staying on the right side of it (or left side of it as the case may be).......

If you were going to skip a city to see a SuperDuper Bowl in, then Detroit would be that city…I didn’t even bother entering any contests for tickets for fear that I would win and actually have to go to Detroit….I think that with all the hype about The Bus and Big Ben, a lot of people have forgotten about the pair on the other side of the field – as any fantasy football owner will tell you, Matt Hasselbeck has been pretty solid the last couple of years and really had to step up and show he could carry a team in the playoff game against the Deadskins – that and Shaun Alexander ain’t exactly a slouch…..all that being said, I think we are in for a close game that will see the lead go back and forth but in the end it will all come down to a late Jim Zorn to Steve Largent TD pass that will put the Seachickens up by 2 but Terry Hanratty will hit Lynn Swann deep leading to Rocky Bleier setting up a Roy Gerela FG to ice the game with seconds on the clock – Pittsburgh 31 Seattle 30

Haven’t seen a single one of the Oscar nominated best films of the year and most likely won’t ever see any of them…….I also just found out that the cowboys in Brokeback Mountain were actually herding sheep and not cows so that movie now makes a lot of sense to me……….and speaking of movies, did they just make up The 40 Year Old Virgin as they went a long ? A couple of good skits & bits but not a whole lot of coherent storyline – I will say that the Age of Aquarius stuff at the end had me howling…….

It’s NFL Championship weekend and the pretenders have all fallen by the wayside, the defending champs have been slain and Mike Vanderjagt is still in hiding……..I’m glad that the call on the field was what it was when Champ got killed by Ben Watson because the video that had was as inconclusive as it gets – I don’t think that Bill Belichick’s proposed goal line cam would have helped………I don’t like bad pass interference calls anymore than the next fan but I don’t think that those calls should be reviewable by replay……….I love how everyone is jumping on the Steelers bandwagon just because they beat the Colts – a team that had it’s soft underbelly exposed in the final 3 weeks of the season and were led by choke-azz Peyton Manning and the emasculated one, Tony Dungy ? The Broncos beat the 2 time defending Super Duper Bowl champs – made them implode – and no one seems to give that any respect – I say keep picking against the Broncos, we like proving you wrong…………..Carolina is going to miss Julius Pepper’s ferocity due to his trying to play with a separated shoulder more than they are going to miss Deshaun Foster – hard to pick against Steve Smith though…

The Mr. Eko flashback episode was one of the best episodes of LOST this season, if not the best – Zeke’s cry of “Light em up !!!” this week would have had more impact if we hadn’t seen it already countless times in the previews and ads……..Charlie is a junkie – plain & simple – he won’t change and it will lead to his death on the island…….Hurley still hasn’t lost any weight (thanks Mark) but his whole “classic desert island scenario” with regard to Dirty Libby was great……Sawyer continues to be the best character week in and week out……..the Italian daughter who kissed Jack needs to somehow magically appear on the island or at least land another show so we can see her each week

Bowl Season starts next week and I still need to make my picks – I can’t help but think that while USC-Texas looks good on paper, USC is going to kill them – sure the Longhorns played in Pasadena last year but USC plays there virtually every year and they own the place…..I’ve been to a Rose Bowl game and I have been to a USC-UCLA tilt at the Rose Bowl – what a great venue – what a great place to play a game – it oozes history and there is always great scenery in the stands – expect to pay $50 to park on someone’s lawn though…….

KING KONG wouldn’t be a $100 movie for me even if I could find a decent babysitter these days – 3 hours long screams DVD to me…..

It's the first real snow of the winter and the idiots are out on the road. If you own and drive a 4 wheel drive Jeep, you should be able to go faster than 15 miles an hour. Obviously you need to sell your car and stay home. Get off the road ! If you are from the south and have never seen snow, stay off the road and stay home. Wait until the weekend, when I don't have to get to work, and go out and practice then. If you are nervous driving in snow - get off the road and climb back into bed. You are probably a useless part of society anyway and you are in my way. Get off the road !!!
